CIRCULATION POLICIES
New fiction, e-books & reserves: 7-21 days

Other nonfiction and fiction: 21 days

Fiction DVDs and video games: 14 for 14 days

Music audio: 21 days
Vacation and other special loans may be available upon request
Loan limit: 50 items per library card holder; maximum of 14 fiction DVDs & 10 magazines at one time.
Renewals: Items may be renewed online, in person, or over the phone if there is no hold placed on that item. No more than 2 renewals without special approval. 14-day DVDs and video games may not be renewed.
Interlibrary loans: Items borrowed do not belong to MPL and are subject to rules in the ILL guidelines. Patrons may check out 5 items at a time. No ILL requests will be placed until all fines are paid. Place an ILL here.

Reserves: All print circulating library materials, nonfiction DVDs, and audiobooks may be placed on reserve. (Movies and TV series may not be reserved.) Notifications go out by mail, email, or phone. Items may be held for up to 7 days.
Returning materials: Patrons are responsible for returning all items by their due dates. ILL materials must be returned in dropbox or in circulation - note the change for quarantine - with pink sleeves still attached.
Late fees: Temporarily suspended.
Lost or damaged materials: Patrons are responsible for all items checked out on their card. Patrons will be charged for lost or damaged items, at the same price the library paid for the item.
Overdue notices: Library sends alerts by email, automated telephone system, Postal Service.
Collection agency: Fees or charges exceeding $25 will be sent to a collection agency, with an added $10 fee.
